Raise a Little Hell

I must have heard this song a million times but it took driving for hours in the wide open spaces to really listen....

If you don't like what you got, why don't you change it?
If your world is all screwed up, then rearrange it.

If you don't like what you see, why don't you fight it?
If you know there's something wrong why don't you right it?

  1. Nice. I've never before read the lyrics to RLH. They're gentle and questioning. They challenge the listener to move forward from their present state and take control of their destiny. There's a sweetness to the lyrics that doesn't come through in the tempo and beat of the song. And I thought it was a just drinking song adopted by the hockey crowd. I've looked closely at some of Hendrix's song and have found they too are often sweet and show a vulnerable side to the man. Thanks for slowing things down a bit. I just returned from a road trip to Mineapolis so I know what it's like to drive in wide open spaces.
