Hot Dog Bun Recipe

It passed the fussy kid test so I'm passing it on. I love not having to buy yet another food item with added or hidden ingredients and no extra packaging to worry about. I used a recipe found online (frugalliving.com/od/breadsbakedgoods/r/Hot_Dog_Buns.html) but changed it a bit.
I would have taken a picture of them but the B man took the camera when he flew across the pond.

INGREDIENTS:
3 cups organic white flour (or thereabouts)
1 Tbsp white sugar
2 1/4 tsp traditional active dry yeast
3/4 tsp. salt
1/8 cup canola oil
1 cup warm water

DIRECTIONS:

Add sugar to warm water in in small dish then add yeast. Put in warm place for 10 minutes or until it foams.

Lightly grease cookie sheet.

Put 2 cups of flour and salt into large bowl . Keep about a cup of flour nearby to add to this dough a little later.

When yeast is ready, add oil to it then dump the mixture into the flour bowl. Mix and add enough flour till it is too thick to stir with a spoon. Knead dough for 10 minutes. Keep adding flour as needed so it is not sticky. Mine was a little more pliable than bread dough but not enough so that it stuck to my hands.

Divide dough into 8 pieces and shape into hot dog buns. I made 9 by accident so the buns were a bit too small.

Cover with parchment paper (or whatever you use to cover your dough) and put in warm place for 15 minutes.

Bake 350 degrees x 15 minutes.
