10 miles into a 1/2 marathon a volunteer says to me " Looking good" and seemed sincere in his encouraging words, in spite of the fact I had blue gatorade dripping down both sides of my mouth. Thank you kind stranger.

  1. Reminds me of a very hot marathon a few years ago. At mile 22 a boy ran up alongside me and firmly placed somehting in my hand... somethin ice cold, sweet, and amazingly refreshing. Looking down toward my hand I saw a 10 inch freezy (my favourite no less). These simple acts of kindness. Where would we be as a society without them? I almost cried. Coingratulations on the AF run. I was thee too. Mike

  2. Thanks for sharing your freezy story. Hope you had a great run.
